Phaedra Parks Says NO to an Open Marriage

Kenya Moore swears that she has never and will never pursue a romance with Apollo Nida, and that’s a good thing ‘cause Phaedra Parks made it clear that she’s not about to have an open marriage.
“I feel whatever people choose to do with their marriage is there business. In my marriage, no,” she told Sister 2 Sister when asked how she feels about that sort of arrangement.
Open marriage is not an option for Phaedra and apparently she doesn’t even want her man exchanging text messages with women. At the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” season 5 reunion show, Kenya commented that Apollo had been reaching out to her (platonically), and if you weren’t aware, that is unacceptable.
“Kenya, it’s inappropriate to text anybody’s husband without their knowledge. You broke the G-Code!” NeNe Leakes wrote her in most recent BravoTV.com blog.
No matter the content of the missives, Apollo and Kenya were keeping in contact without Phaedra’s knowledge. Is that an indication that there’s trouble in paradise?
“Apollo can be bossy. He is very headstrong,” said Phaedra who lives and works with him on her DVD series. “At the end of the day, we both have a love for health and fitness.”
Of course their healthy living practices aren’t all that’s holding them together. In addition, they have two beautiful sons to raise. Phaedra calls motherhood her “greatest accomplishment.”
“There is such a need and demand for strong men. It’s a lot of stress on me because I want to be supermom,” she told S2S.
With her motherly duties, her multiple business ventures and a reality TV show that puts her marriage in the spotlight, Phaedra said finding time for her husband is imperative.
“Marriage is tough. The more time you can spend with your spouse—definitely quality time—it sorta makes it a lot better and hopefully it creates more intimacy in the relationship,” she said.
